A very wet WIP Wednesday

They are not kidding about April showers this week. I seriously think I need to modify my car with rowboat capabilities.

Until then, I’m stuck inside. I got a little knitting done this morning. This is the Moonraker Cowl by Kourtney Robinson. I’m using some Miss Babs sock yarn and forgo-ing the beads:

I’m going to be knitting a lot of cowls. They are so in right now and I have some much yarn that just screams to be worn around the neck!

My other task today: Baby food. I’ve been putting off doing a giant baby food day because I’m trying to figure out a new storage method that doesn’t drive me insane. Since our daily walk and other outdoor activities have been sacked, might as well tackle it while it pours. I’ve trying a few new things as well!

In the coming weeks, Spawnbeast is going to be trying some new foods. Cherries, cauliflower, broccoli and mango. He’s eating me out of house and home but I’m digging it. Family meal-time is becoming less of a chore since he really seems open to trying new stuff now…I just can’t wait until he can feed himself. I haven’t had a hot meal is ages!

I can’t wait until the farmer’s market opens in our area. Our grocery store’s produce is hit or miss, so I find frozen is the way to go. Savings-wise, I’m averaging $0.15-$0.30 a serving as opposed to the prices of store-bought baby food. I promise to never become one of those crazy couponers, but a savings like that makes me hungry for more!

Lastly, I’m getting excited for Maryland Sheep and Wool! I’m meeting up with my cousins and I’m on a mission for my friend who can’t go. I’ve already picked out my outfit! More on that later…

Stay tuned…
