Another year, another successful trip to Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I can not believe this is still a free event! Check out this year’s yarn-bombed entrance!
This year, we left the house around 6 a.m. with Spawnbeast in tow. I didn’t plan on buying much, just enjoying the fest. I was mainly on a mission for one of the knitting ladies; she needed bobbins for her wheel. While there, I met up with my cousins who live close to the fairgrounds. We watched the sheep dog trials.
We witnessed quite a calamity when the sheep broke out under the fence and ran away. The dogs followed and the lady giving the demo kinda lost her cool. It was a different kind of entertainment than we were expecting!
T’was a good day! We had a blast and my haul was small. I snagged a box of mini-skeins from Fiber Optic Yarns. I also got some samples to review for the blog.
All and all, a very good day. I had a lamb burger and about a gallon of caffeine. Spawnbeast did awesome until 20 minutes away from home. He loved off-roading in the stroller, people watching and crawling in the grass.
While today was awesome, I’m glad to be back home. I’m beyond pooped. Husbeast just offered to make me a drink. Imma go take him up on that!
